Kitchen Design Concepts President Appointed to NARI Board
Jennifer Sherrill, Co-Founder and
President of Kitchen Design Concepts, was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the
Greater Dallas chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI). Jennifer
will chair the Education committee, which is responsible for overseeing education and testing
for professional designations. Jennifer holds the NARI designation of Certified Remodeler.

“One of Carrollton-based Kitchen Design Concepts’ designs was recently featured on HGTV’s
‘Bang For Your Buck’, along with two other Dallas-area kitchen remodels done for $90,000.
The Kitchen Design Concepts remodel was completed for Ginger and Rick Blazek of Coppell, and was rated best
‘bang for your buck’ by HGTV host Vern Yip. The Blazeks’ kitchen was estimated to
have added $72,000 to the value of their home. Kitchen Design Concepts was founded by Mary Kathryn Reese
and Jennifer Sherrill.”

Award in the Cabinets & Countertops category.

HGTV Selects Kitchen Design Concepts’ Kitchen as Winner
HGTV’s hit show, Bang For Your Buck, pits three remodels up against one another to see
which project added the most home value for the money. The kitchen was praised by HGTV host Vern
Yip as “the perfect marriage of function and aesthetics.” Yip and his co-host, local
real estate expert Robyn Freese, estimated the Blazeks received an 80 percent return on their
remodeling investment, exceeding the national average return of 70 percent and the return of the
two other kitchens featured on the “Bang for Your Buck’ episode. The design and
execution of the remodel by Kitchen Design Concepts was projected to add approximately $72,000
to the value of their home.
